Justin, I hadn't come for a year or two and I am surprised that you still haven't graduated. How is it going? Did you fail? Or are you on the verge of graduation after all this time? I really hope is the second. I mean, since you are suppose to know your subject, it is about time.

My academic status is of no relevance whatsoever to the information posted. My own sense is that, when a person engages in petty talk that is of no relevance to the subject at hand, it's usually because he or she has nothing insightful to say. Am I right?

Perhaps you're right that Colombia's judiciary is more independent than Venezuela's. I haven't studied the two countries' judiciaries closely enough to know.

Of course, you're ignorning the other conclusion to be drawn from this. If the supposed evidence from the laptops is not good enough for Colombia's courts, such evidence is not good enough to prove all those charges against Venezuela either.

If the court says the evidence is not good, the it isn't.
And thank you for sharing your opinion about Colombia having a more independent judiciary than Venezuela.

I never shared any such "opinion." What I said is that I'm not sufficiently familiar with the two countries' judiciaries to know which is more independent.

Ok, but, from what you know so far, what is your opinion about it?

I am new to this blog, thanks.

...Hi, I don't know if you read the old posts... I just made you a question a couple of months ago and was curious about your answer.

Thanks.
